CHESSGO

The world’s biggest game, finally social.

ChessGO takes the most recognized strategy game on Earth and rebuilds it for everyone who loves mobile games but would never download a chess app. Collect living creatures, climb with your crew, and earn every time you play — the proven casual-game playbook, built on chess.

THE OPPORTUNITY

What if Monopoly GO was built on chess?

Chess is universally recognized — thousands of years of history, a global cross-generational audience — yet most people never become regular players. Traditional platforms serve the existing enthusiasts. Everyone else, the hundreds of millions who love games but will never study openings, has nowhere to go.

Monopoly GO proved the move: take a classic, universally known property and rebuild it as a social, mobile-first experience that reaches far beyond its fanbase. It didn’t replace Monopoly — it expanded the audience. ChessGO is mobile-game-first, not chess-first: chess is the IP, and collection, progression, and social competition are the game.

The competitors worth studying aren’t other “new chess” projects — they’re the billion-dollar casual franchises: Monopoly GO, Coin Master, Royal Match, Pokémon GO.

COLLECT

Every piece is a collectible

ChessGO pieces are living, ownable creatures — each a collectible card with its own art, stats, and elemental powers. The card and the piece are the same thing from two angles: on the board it’s a piece you move; off the board it’s a card you own, level up, and trade. Complete real-world AR quests to capture them and build a roster that’s unmistakably yours.

A fire-affinity dragon creature

FIRE

Aggression and burst. Punishes the passive.

A water-affinity aquatic creature

WATER

Control and flow. Reposition, freeze, adapt.

An earth-affinity stone golem creature

EARTH

Defense and weight. Holds the line, blocks paths.

An air-affinity winged creature

AIR

Speed and reach. Strikes first, strikes far.

CORE GAMEPLAY

Six on six, on a board that fights back

ChessGO blends chess with turn-based creature battles on a unique 4×8 “half-board.” Position matters, elemental matchups matter, and the terrain itself is a threat. Creatures start with one of six movement Paths and learn new ones to unlock special abilities, so no two games play the same.

ELEMENTS

Every board has its own affinity, buffing some creatures and weakening others.

HAZARDS

Every few turns, hazards erupt on random squares and damage whatever stands there.

BLOCKERS

Impassable objects wall off lanes and force you to find a new route across the board.

TRAPS

Hidden on random squares. Step wrong and get frozen, teleported, damaged, or removed.

POWERS & PROGRESSION

Pieces that grow up with you

Every creature carries an element-specific power — a once-per-game ability like a Thunderwavethat arcs across the board. Knowing when to spend a power, and when to bait one out, is its own layer of strategy. Train and play to raise a creature’s level and stats, unlock new abilities, and send some down a full visual evolution path.

PLAY & EARN

Play the loop, earn the upside

ChessGO runs on one tight, repeatable loop. Every cycle makes your roster stronger and — for the first time in chess — can put real value in your pocket.

  1. 1

    PREPARE

Set your strategy, order your pieces, and place your traps.

  2. 2

    PLAY

Straight into the action — test your might against real opponents.

  3. 3

    EARN

Bank currency, level up your pieces, and climb the leaderboard.

  4. 4

    EXCHANGE

Trade on the marketplace, or keep your pieces forever.

QUESTS

Quests scale with your roster

The more powerful the pieces you own, the more quests you unlock. Daily, weekly, and monthly objectives keep paying out — and the top of every leaderboard takes the richest rewards.

THE WAGER

Always something at stake

Matchmaking pairs you by the power of your pieces. Before every match you stake a collectible you’ve earned or bought. Win, and you take the pot. Every game means something.

LIVE EVENTS

Always a new reason to play

Beyond the core ladder, ChessGO runs a living calendar of events — each with its own stakes, rewards, and bragging rights.

  1. 01

    Seasonal events

    LEADERBOARDS

Chase time-sensitive rewards across a full season; only the serious players walk away with the best prizes.

  2. 02

    Special events

    GRANDMASTERS

Grandmasters set the hardest challenges in the game. Beat them at the highest levels for rewards unlike anything else.

  3. 03

    Custom events

    COMMUNITY

Influencers — and eventually anyone — publish custom maps and challenges for the community to climb and win on.

GRANDMASTERS

Legends you can collect

The real grandmasters join the roster as ultra-rare gold figurines, each with signature abilities pulled straight from how they actually play — a collectible layer that turns chess legends into something you can chase, own, and field.

FAIR PLAY

Built to resist the engines

Online chess has a real cheating problem — a free engine on a second screen plays near-perfect moves. ChessGO is designed so that doesn’t work: the 4×8 half-board, elemental creatures, hidden traps, and AR capture are nothing a classical chess engine was trained on. The game rewards your own judgment and reactions, which keeps the leaderboard worth climbing.
